Getting Started

AmCharts is a set of tools that lets you have good-looking and functional charts on your website. The tools use Adobe Flash technology for a compelling online experience. The charts can be simple and very quick to create, but they can also be elaborate and beautiful.

YOS amChart is a Joomla extension which integrated almost amCharts features. With YOS amChart you can easily integrate charts which provided by amCharts to your Joomla site.

Chart Configuration

Change map name, Enable security if your data is private. Choose plug-ins which help you to generate dynamic data.

Changing Data

Go to the ampie chart and looking for data area with text editor. You will see this code:

Save the changes, and go to your front-end with module display. Refresh the page, and here is what you should see now: 

 As you understood, the data is held in an external file. And you can easily change it.

Changing Settings

Looking for settings areas with text editor. You will see lots of XML tags with comments next to them. These are settings that control the look of the chart. Locate the setting and enter 40 between the tags:

Save the changes, reload the page, and here is what you should get now:

As you see, there is a hole in your pie chart, and now it may be called a donut chart.

All the other files in the package are optional which is add-ons. You will learn about them in the other help articles.
